A new Atomic Heart gameplay trailer provides the most comprehensive look at the retro-future shooter to date, with story details, weapons, enemies, and more. If Mundfish can pull off the gorgeous visuals and combine it with exciting gameplay, Atomic Heart could really be something special. Shown off last year in a gameplay demo, Plyush is a horrifying amalgam of tendrils, shaped like a bipedal dog - and it's only one of the terrifying beasts P-3 will encounter in his exploration of the facility.Īt its core, Atomic Heart looks to be a thrilling experience with a truly original setting. The robotic enemies join all other manners of biological horrors as well, from zombified human remains that have been taken over by some sort of plant life, to horrible creatures like the mini-boss dubbed Plyush. Another is a human-like automaton built for touring the facility, now shifting about at horrifying speed, it's dead eyes staring into the void as it approaches. One might feature a giant sawblade affixed to spindly spider legs. The various robots, all purpose-built for specific tasks, are varied and striking. On top of the gorgeous environments, the enemy designs are all varied and incredibly mechanically intricate. ![]()
